Release Pelvic Floor & Abdominal Tension

Gentle yoga practices to soften holding patterns, reduce tension and support relief from pelvic and abdominal pain

I’m here to help

This mini-course is for anyone experiencing tension, gripping, discomfort or pain in the pelvic floor and abdominal area, or simply a sense that it is difficult to fully soften and release.

Through gentle movement, breath, awareness and targeted release practices, I will guide you toward creating more space and ease through the abdomen, pelvis and pelvic floor.

Why Release?

A healthy pelvic floor needs range.

It needs to be able to engage and support us — but it also needs to soften, lengthen and release.

Stress, pain, habitual holding and patterns of gripping through the abdomen can all affect our ability to let go. And sometimes, trying harder or strengthening more is simply not what the body needs.

In this course, our focus is on the other side of pelvic health: softening, breathing, sensing and releasing.

This mini-course may support you if you experience:

  • Pelvic floor tension or a feeling of gripping

  • Pelvic or abdominal discomfort

  • Pain or discomfort with penetration

  • Difficulty relaxing the belly

  • Tailbone, hip or pelvic tension

  • A tendency to constantly "hold in" or brace the abdomen

  • Stress-related tension through the pelvis

  • A desire to better feel and understand your pelvic floor

No previous yoga experience is necessary.

What we will explore

✔ We will work with the relationship between the breath, abdomen, diaphragm and pelvic floor, using simple movements and positions that encourage release rather than force it.

✔ The practices are gentle and can be returned to again and again — particularly during periods when you notice more tension, stress or discomfort.

My hope is that this course gives you a small collection of practical tools you can actually use: ways to listen to your body, recognize unnecessary holding, and invite a little more space and ease.
